Questions answered
Can I buy now and play later during my trip?
Yes. The route lands in your inbox straight away and has no expiry date. Save it and play on any night of your trip to Utrecht.
Do I need to print anything or download an app?
No. Everything works on your phone: the route opens in your browser and the live scoreboard works via a link.
Will my phone work in Utrecht?
Inside the EU you use your mobile data just like at home. Travelling from outside the EU, or to a country outside it, check your roaming plan first. You only need a little data to open the route and keep the scoreboard updated.
Is the route in English?
Yes, fully in English, so mixed groups can play together too.
Is it suitable for a stag do, hen party or birthday?
Absolutely. The challenges are made for groups, and with teams of 2 or 3 even a group of 20+ stays together.
Is the price per person?
No, it is one price for the whole group. Buy it once and share it in your group chat.
Can I give it as a gift?
Yes. Buy it, forward the email to the birthday boy or girl and you are done.
When can we play?
Order now and the route is in your inbox within 1 minute, also late at night. The day picker on this page shows on which days you can play in Utrecht and between which times to start, so all bars on the route are open.
Where does the route start?
The first hole is in the file you receive. The whole route is walkable, no taxis needed.
Do we need to reserve anything at the bars?
No. Just walk in, order the drink of that hole and play.
What do the drinks cost?
You pay for your own drinks at normal bar prices, one drink per player per hole. So you decide your own budget. Outside the eurozone, bring a card or some local cash.
What if a bar is packed or closed?
Skip it and move on to the next hole. The live scoreboard simply keeps counting.
Can someone play without alcohol?
Yes. Swap any drink for a soft drink, the strokes count exactly the same.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes, 18+. Please drink responsibly and follow the local rules.
How does the live online scoreboard work?
After every hole each player or team fills in their strokes on their own phone. The standings update straight away, so everyone sees who is winning from hole 1 to the last bar.
How long does it take?
About 20 minutes per hole including walking: 9 holes takes about 3 hours, 12 holes about 4 hours, 14 holes 4.5 to 5 hours and 16 holes 5 to 5.5 hours.
How many people can play?
From 2 to 40+ people. Bigger groups play in teams of 2 or 3.
What exactly do I get?
Rules and penalties, 2 power-ups per team, every hole with bar intro and drink, challenges and quiz questions, plus the live online scoreboard.
What if we are not happy?
